Hi readers! Just a quick note to say I will be off for the second half of December to immerse in holiday and family time. I am looking forward to meeting you back here at the beginning of January. I wish you ease and joy this holiday season.

Dear Reader,
My colleagues and I are pleased with your performance as an Analyst so far this year, which we rate as Satisfactory Plus. Though this is not our top rating of Excellent, please be advised that we only award the Excellent rating to a handful of Analysts each year who truly meet that definition, derived from the Latin to “rise or be high” above others. You are not one of that handful, but you are more than sufficient.
Your strengths include your ability to work on a team. Your colleagues describe you as hardworking and positive, good at problem solving, and generally pleasant to be around, kind of like a computer combined with a vase of flowers. You grasp new concepts quickly, and you are also sufficiently good at verbal and written communication. Last year, we discussed that you were often too long-winded when speaking, but colleagues have noted that your ability to structure and share thoughts clearly and concisely has improved this year. Great job in this area. Your work with the West Coast Women’s Initiative has not gone unnoticed, and, while I have no idea what happens there, it seems to be a completely sufficient contribution to the office and a fine thing for you to do in your free time.
