I love coming across others writing about intuition—one of my favorite subjects, as developing a relationship with my own intuition has been a turning point in my life. The connection between actual gut health and intuition is an interesting angle, as is the question of differentiating intuition from misguided fear response. The former reminds me of the term interoception, which I learned from Annie Murphy Paul's book The Extended Mind, about the basis of the actual, physical sensations that we consciously and unconsciously perceive in the interior of our bodies. The latter—the relationship between intuition and fear, is something I get asked about a lot. There's no single or simple answer, but there's a lot to be learned by looking into it.

I've written a couple of long pieces about intuition -- it's a fascinating topic.

Thanks for your writing on this... and, just to say, intuition—in my experience and opinion—has nothing to do with being a man or a woman... :)
