This is horrifying -- I knew in the abstract what this was like, but didn't really sit with it. That first experience w/ the consultant and then having to power through to feed a child.... 👀
Thanks Andy - I had the same feeling when I read Atule Gawande's Being Mortal and for the first time read detailed accounts of deaths. I had of course heard about death (obviously), but was shocked that I had never really considered the details of how it occurs. That was part of my goal here with breastfeeding, so I really appreciate the comment!
